Although I can access my old database, I can't even move an entry to a new group. It's sad this version doesn't have the functionality of the old Windows XP version.
3 August 2015
The app works very well in every regard except one: there is no search function. Were this function added I would rate 5 stars.
As a way to manage and secure passwords, PassKeep works well.
5 July 2015
Just downloaded and installed this app. I generally use the regular windows version of the application on my other computers. I opened my database, which is keepass 2.x. I created a new entry but it crashes every time I try to save a new entry.
2 July 2015
This is my preferred password manager on RT.
6 May 2015
It does what it claims to do, and the snapped feature is nifty for accessing websites without changing screens a bunch of times.
24 December 2014
I have examined all the KeyPass clients currently offered in the store. This is the only one that will actually execute the Clear Clipboard function on my Surface Pro. Beyond that the app performs as indicated. I have also found that the Icon color and description box can be modified by setting the foreground and/or background colors for the entry within KeyPass. My complements to the developer.
There are a number of things that can be done to improve the app. Not the least of these would be the inclusion to the Expiry field as shown in KeyPass along with a method of indicating which entries are about to have an expired password. I am currently using the Tag field to perform this function. The ability to select the entry description icon would also be nice.
6 July 2014
This lets me open and use my keep pass (darn auto correct not letting me spell it correctly!) file. I can open my file. I can search for my entries. I can even see the notes field, which is vital for me because I often put lots of data in that field. Could be faster. Could be more true to the original. But this gets me the features I absolutely need. Thanks!
2 June 2014
I have more than 400 passwords in my database. Incorporate search for five star ratings.
15 May 2014
Have used KeePass managers on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android and prefer the use of combination of OneDrive and local copy to keep current even when off line.
While writing this when I went back PassKeep wanted to open file and lost alot of changes. On Surface I am not in gabit of using the ctrl + s but still to not ask and why? So took off stars.
Request: Save As or keep backups. A file manager app tried to do copy/paste and did not add "copy" and looked to corrupt and tried to over write same file.
Overall I think the Surface s a nice concept poorly executed and implemented and lacks consistency across apps.
Wish this was ported to iOS 7 and be even more seamless flexibility.
1 March 2014
Now I have my KeePass password database available on my surface in addition to other computers and devices.
16 January 2014
I mean, it works like a charm. I open my database file from a skydrive folder and it syncs with all of my machines. I wish it was prettier but functioning correctly is all you really need!
1 December 2013
Seemed way to complicated. Could not even change the password for the sample data base.
12 November 2013
Looked pretty promising to keep my passwords but after I downloaded and opened it I couldn't figure out on my surface RT how to set it up. Looks like it needs a keyboard attachment to make it more functional. I am just looking for an app that I can put a password on to keep other passwords safe. I really didn't spend much time with the app because I believe if you can figure it out within the first 5 minutes or have it completely set up within that time its not built well. Looks great but I really don't feel like I want to spend the time trying to figure it out.
9 November 2013
When PassKeep works, it works great. Docking/placing in a side pane/whatever buzzword MS calls it works great as expected, and it seems to work with most of the features of the desktop client.
However, it only works when I open it via a .kdb/x file. When I open PassKeep otherwise, it closes itself.
Specificity in opening the app aside, it works as expected.
8 November 2013
Needs to work on 8.1.
Crashes on open since update
7 November 2013
Great App works perfectly with sky drive synced KeePass db. A bit ugly but works great. Only complaint is that it broke since updating to 8.1 on RT. Uninstalling and re-installing fixed it though.

It just been updated and sorts now. Its working faster with every update. I use it to open .kdbx, working perfectly.
31 May 2013
<edited>Updated to 5 stars with new update.
Uses the famous Keepass V2 data format so you can use the same file on multiple devices.
Doesn't remember keyfile from one session to another, but remembers the directory...so not to bad.
Doesn't have key/password generator.(New version May 25, 2013 has PW generator!!!!)
Needs settings options for clearance of memory for copied data.(fixed)
Easy to use.
Dark theme is not very good on the eyes.

Works pretty well. I've had no issues so far. Thank you for the password generator!
23 April 2013
Great to see a free KeePass viewer for Windows RT - thank you!
There does seem to be a bug with entries that have protected string fields - the first string field is shown as the password instead of the actual password! A little confusing 😊
13 March 2013
I'd like to see the app get a cosmetic overhaul, it's the ugliest app I have on my Surface...but it does work with keepass files
2 February 2013
Thank you!
22 January 2013
Was very happy to find this for use on my Surface RT. To top it all off, it's free! If revenue is ever required to keep this going, I would gladly pay for a 'premium' version vs ad support (no one wants internet services tied to an offline encryption program!).
It is nice that the developer made an effort to stick to 'metro' standards as well; the foundation is solid and should be easy to develop in the future. Thank you for taking the time to develop this, and keep up the good work!
2 January 2013
good start. Needs to be cleaned up a bit.
23 December 2012
I had an issue with the app on startup; I sent a quick email off to the developer. The reply was quick, helpful, and insightful. There are new features in the pipeline. Developer is actively listening to feedback and actively working to make the app better. App and developer are highly recommended!
A note abut performance: The built in windows crypto APIs are slow. A keepass database with many encryption rounds will take a long time to open. Developer is aware / looking for solution.
17 December 2012
I think this is a good app overall, the only thing it's missing is search. You cannot use the OS search to find entries in your database. With that feature this would be a 5.
13 December 2012
The UI is a bit clunky, and I wish it implemented search, but this is a usable KeePass reader for Win8. I'm very pleased to see that it does _not_ have permission to use my internet connection, so I have some confidence that it can't leak my passwords, unlike the other free KeePass client currently in the store. Whatever you do, please don't change this :)
9 December 2012
Been waiting for a good, easy to use, & straight forward password manager that uses my KeePass since I got my Surface. Works great and the snapview is what makes this app easy to use on websites.
5 December 2012
As a devoted KeePass user, I was delighted to find such an excellent and well-designed app after testing out some poor alternatives.
I can definitely see myself using this as my default, go-to password manager. The interface is accessible and easy to use, and I was thrilled to see that I could access my current .kdbx file seamlessly.
This app is a must-have for anyone looking to use a password manager in Windows 8, and I can only see it getter better over time.
