TenCalc Business Calculator

TenCalc works like a full-featured printing calculator – only better! You can search, print, save or share the tape. Best of all, you can even correct tape errors or insert or delete lines. You can undo any change you make. Although designed for tablets, TenCalc also works great with a keyboard and mouse. Note: TenCalc works like an "adding machine" and not like consumer calculators.

Features:

  • Simulated multi-color printer tape can optionally be positioned on the left or right
  • Tape search, edit (with undo), print, share, and load/save to file
  • View the printer tape without the calculator in a very narrow window
  • Fixed (0-6), auto, floating decimals
  • Round off, down or up
  • Tax add/subtract
  • Cost/Sell/Margin
  • Percentage and percent difference
  • Item counting (all and +/-) and averages
  • Time entry (hh:mm) and add/subtract/multiply operations
  • Help and info-tips (context help) for all functions

Maybe I like this so much since I am used to the old 10 key calculator with a tape. This is a great calculator app for any accountant. I use it every day at work. My physical calculator was taking up too much desk space, so I tried this out. Love it. Very easy to use and I love the output tape to look over the numbers I have entered. Even does red for negative numbers.

Great adding machine with tape. The best full-featured adding machine for the PC touch screen environment. Only one item that needs to be fixed: When you clear the tape the decimal setting changes to Decimal 2. I have to change back to Decimal Auto to continue my work. That is why I gave the program 4 instead of 5 stars. It would also be nice to have a clear tape button on the calculator so that you don't need to open settings (an extra step).

Well, earlier windows systems could use a third-party program (now we call them apps) that was written in Basic that depicted a simple ten-key calculator WITH a paper tape. It was wonderful! Now we must settle for "TenCalc" that is cumbersome to use but it's the best I could find for 8.1. Pretty sad - but it does the job. I wish I could figure out how to resize the display so that it would float over my desktop instead of consuming the entire display.

This provides the ability to make corrections for bad entries and does more than I need it for. Kudos for simplicity and functionality.

I love it. So easy to use. I no longer use my desk top ten key Calculator. Going to give that one to charity. A ten plus

How? do I get the "portrait view" calculator page. The smaller calculator on the screen. The one less than a full screen calculator= the size on your selling presentation. Thank You

It is too easy to dump a whole tape full of data and not even know why it happened. After that occurred twice, the app then locked up after I ran another tape. I couldn't print the tape, close the app or even open task manager. I had to reboot. I'll never get my taxes done this way.

Works great. Really handy, especially at tax time. It will be even better if the next Windows 9 version allows me to run this as a desktop window.
