Comments for Bookviser Reader

At first I uninstalled this because it didn't support portrait mode for use on my tablet. However now that it supports it I love it! One thing I would also like - I can't hold my tablet in one hand, and swipe either way to change the page with my thumb - it seems like the swipes have to go such a long way to actually take effect. Please make it easier :) I also prefer that the tap-in-center page turn is turned off. I'm used to tapping in the center to pull up/down the menus.

It is far from perfection, but it works, and it works well. And you successfully sort by the authors name. Unfortunately something simple like that the big N can't handle. I know one tiny pet peeve that I have is the fact that when in full screen mode, there are no page transitions. I realize that this is a very small nitpicky thing, but something small that I would like to see. But keep up the good work.

I have tried almost every popular readers in the store and this one outperforms everything. Although there are small glitches which I would love to get resolved there is absolutely nothing you cant handle.

With portrait mode being added, its getting better. I wish you could open books with the publishers default styling and zoom in on pictures. One feature I like think could still improve is the way links are handled. I would prefer an in place balloon, instead of the fly out on the fly out on the right.

This app is the best reader for Windows (and Windows phones)! Competitors are far-far away from Bookviser by features, usability, speed, simplicity etc.

This app is incredibly frustrating to use, and certainly lacks the elegance and versatility of iBooks. You are quite limited in your capacity to arrange your library the way that you want to. While you can create categories, you can't access the many categories you've created. Adding books to the categories is clumsy as well, as each time you add a book, the app resets to the first book in the overall library (you lose your place). It can't import books from multiple folders, but instead you have to direct it to each individual folder. Very frustrating if you happen to have a huge Ebook library and have multiple books in folders titled after the author. Once you assign books to a category, you can't arrange the books within the category. For example, lets say you have all the books in the entire Dune Trilogy spanning different authors, but want them in a particular order.... well you can't. I fell for the add to upgrade to the premium version of this app. Wish I hadn't.

IMO Bookviser is a better book reader thank Kindle and Nook. The reading UI is very good and far better than Nook's. Just please add the support of offline dictionaries and the app will truly deserve 5 stars.

After changing it to full screen mode, reading in portrait on the Surface is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended app. But the UI design of the main screen needs some beautifying. ;) Keep up the great work!

This app is simply phenomenal and worth every penny to unlock everything. There is no other reader that is as silky smooth to use, is wthis beautifully designed, has this many options, and syncs smoothly between phone and tablet as Bookviser. I used it a bit before the huge overhaul and it wasn't as good as what I had before but now it is ready to take it's well deserved place as the best reader available. I rarely give out a full dive stars but the team behind this app earned it.

Just great to be in the middle of a good book just to have a smart comment about being sorry... looks likes something went wrong...

moon reader is free also, but it has a lot more options like multiple highlight color, underline capacity. this needs much work!

There isn't a reader that comes even close to what is offered here on windows 8.1. It is a gorgeous app, incredibly stable, much quicker than the typical sluggish windows apps and easy to use. And all of this is freely-offered. If hard-pressed, I'd say the only issue is the app simply fails to resize its window so you can read a whole page if you want to use 2 apps simultaneously. And the lack of an android app means I can't sync my reading and have to use another app on my phone. But otherwise, fantastic app!

I've been using this app since windows phone 7. I greatly appreciate the support for the windows ecosystem. I do think this app could benefit from a few more features. Digital stylus support would be wonderful. I would also love to see page synchronization and support for PDF. I think these things would push this app into a better class.

Not a bad epub reader, The main thing I didn't like is that the cover, titlepage, copyright and chapters all ran together. I felt like I was reading a PDF file. The app ran everything together. If you guys fix this, I will buy the app and give it a higher rating. Off to the next epub reader.

great app, though still requires a lot of debugging, freezes the menu on the book so you cant see the complete page

Could use a speech add on, like bazaar book reader. Good feature to sync across devices.

Beautiful and just what was needed.

Making any changes to the font or colors will cause the current book to be unreadable. I kept getting errors when trying to read any book. It just isn't worth the trouble of figuring out why.

The idea is good, but if they improved the definition feature (sometimes it doesn't work, or it redirects to internet which isn't handy if offline), and allowed the option to remove page animation it would be better.

Portrait mode, finally :)

This is the best reader for Windows ecosystem. But lacks portrait and mobi files compatibility. I give 5 stars in advance.

The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
