Dell Venue Pro 8 - crashes on open

I save a lot of articles with embedded videos and for many of them the thumbnail just says VIDEO_1 rather than grabbing the header image and some of the text. Otherwise, seems decent so far.

The app crashes on start on a Surface Pro. It is useless to me.

Crashes every time that I mark an article as read. When I re-open the application, the article is still marked as unread. Do it again, same result. Please fix. Thanks. Good app though.

This app is working well on RT. Echo other's that it really needs a delete feature and portrait view. 4 stars until those features are added.

Needs the ability to delete downloaded pages, as well as organize them. Otherwise it is fine.

Maybe it can't handle 8" form factor. Wish I could get a refund

However, no tags, can't delete, etc. Only two features: add via share charm and read view. But what is included is executed brilliantly.

How do I sync what I have in Pocket app that is found on my android phone?

I'll keep using it because its free and functional, but it crashes whenever I try saving anything while offline and its got some bug with missing spaces randomly in the text (probably from web links).

When it is working, Burn After Reading is one of the best Pocket apps around. It has a lovely layout, and everything is presented in a clear and intuitive manner. Unfortunately, it crashes...a lot. Open the app? Crash. Try to read a entry in your Pocket list? Crash. Try to bring up the menu? Crash, crash, crash. Fix all the crashes and Burn After Reading will go far. Otherwise its just a novelty.

Need support for portrait view (I'm reading on. Dell Venue 8 ipro, the8 inch screen is more comfortable in portrait) and managing/viewing favorites. Other than that its a pretty solid Pocket app that adopts the Windows 8 way of doing things.

Crashes! Needs Delete and Archive actions.

Without a doubt, this is the prettiest Pocket reader that I've tried out of everything in the Store, and I love how it provides unread story counts in both the Live Tile and lock screen. But I can't mark stories as Favorites, and sometimes I have trouble syncing. It would be better if it could also sync offline actions too (crashed on me instead).

It works, I can read the stories, but the Reader view is messed up. Links are completely gone in some stories, including their text, which makes it difficult to read.

I don't look for much in a Pocket client, but when I do I envision something much like you find in this app. Simple...elegant...functional. Well truthfully, my imagination also includes it being vanilla-scented....but there's always the next version. Honestly though....I tried a number of clients, and this just nails it. Was well worth the purchase.

On a Surface Pro, it frequently hangs at start and the Share charm functionality doesn't work at all with Bing News. Also crashes and doesn't support portrait. When it works, it's good.

Works great as a Pocket reader client. Using it on my Surface so I can read stuff offline. Definitely worth $1.50. There is plenty of room for features or improvements, but the price point is good.

I love Pocket app and so I needed an excuse to get a touch enabled windows 8 computer, then I found this little app !! Wonderful app but has some short comings; - No text size adjustment (currently text is a bit small) - No font type adjustment (I am nitpicking here because it doesn't really need it) - Ability to delete already read articles - Ability to view favorites and archived articles - Ability to view actual article on the browser itself (most importantly the PC version of IE).

The Pocket app (Read It Later) hasn't been developed yet for Windows 8 but "Burn After Reading" gets the job done. Very nice ... When you find articles online that you want to read later, just share to this app using the windows 8 charm and you can read the article offline in this app, or thanks synchronization with your pocket account, on any other device that has the Pocket app installed (iPad, Android phone, etc)

This is a reading app and I expect to be able to read in portrait view on my tablet.

Does what it is supposed, but how long is the trial?

nice app. looks good, works great, and has share charm integration! slight nitpick: the text on the tile is a lot bigger than the standard text used for other apps, makes it look kind of weird and that bugs me for some reason..

Just saw this under new releases as I was swearing at IE10 in RT trying to find some work around for Pocket. After playing with the app it works as advertised. Using the windows share to add articles to Pocket is amazing. There are no options, however (aside from a text mode that seems to do nothing). Hopefully the app is supported with updates by the dev. as things like being able to resize text would be great. As is worth a buy even if it just to add articles to your queue. Cheers!
