Thanks developer. It works perfectly! People that say it doesn't work: This app won't create database file for you, you must copy the one from Calibre into the library folder.

I want my money back, does not work. Why are you selling apps that do not work. Disappointed in Microsoft for having you and Caliber for having a app so crappy!

App only started successfully one time. Crashes immediately on launch. Don't bother.

Because of the mixed reviews, I selected Try rather than Buy. It seemed to see my library but I couldn't open any book. It would crash each time I tried.

Irritated I spent money on this. Crashes when I attempt to create a database folder. Completely worthless and unusable.

Crashes after selecting Calibre library and never gets past Starting or Setting Data before exiting to the Metro home screen.

Great way to view your collection

I have a Windows 8.1 laptop. My Calibre library is on this laptop. I'm not a fan of the Calibre reader, so I've been searching for a solution that didn't require dragging and dropping (e.g. into Firefox) or using the content server for Freda (I couldn't get the Calibre content server to create the needed opds catalog for Freda to connect to). I simply wanted something that could read my local Calibre library cleanly as a library (not having to sift through the hundreds of author folders). Being able to sort by tag was critical for me as that's how I defined my library. Your app does exactly what I need. A metro front that handles the Calibre library locally. It snaps really well with Freda for my reading. I typically shrink your viewer to the left with Freda larger on the right, but can still see the list of books. Well done, and thank you for the effort. (I found out about your app on the mobileread forum).

UPDATED: fom * to *** It actually doesn't work if calibre is running in desktop mode. Once I closed calibre and restarted the app and re-selected the folder all my ebooks showed up. It's pretty simple. All other ebook readers cannot seem to get around the Windows 8 App sandboxing (since they want you to use calibre webserver at the localhost). Rather than a list with the description and cover of the selected book on the left, I would have preferred the option for icons (icons being the covers). Some integration or link to a reader would be nice (e.g. Microsoft's Reader) so I can keep Adobe Acrobat Pro as my default PDF viewer but foricng this app to use the reader that suits e-reading better than editing. I don't see the use of editing IMHO, I can just use the desktop app for that.
