Nice interface, easy to use but limited. Can only store a single Work and Home address. Doesn't remember previously used addresses. Only 2 categories supported (Work and Home) so these are really just Start (Work) & Destination (Home). Routing is unsophisticated - it has traffic information but will choose a shorter route over city streets vs slightly longer routes with limited access highways - disregarding stop light impact. Can't route 11 miles to the next town over from where I work.

I am using the Windows 8 Metro app. Doesn't allow me to simply add a starting Home and Work address. I create the Home address, but when I go to add the Work address, it had me edit the Home address. Sorry, but this seems like typical coffee shop software - slapped together without verification of even the most basic, main usage scenario. UPDATE: tried it again... crashes. Wow, unbelievable.

We hope you enjoy INRIX Traffic. We welcome your feedback at appfeedback@inrix.com. The app provides you with the fastest route home and to work, given real time traffic conditions. Kevin

Great app. Loaded well. Fast. Please add 1. The ability to store a route--and update a live tile with the commute time. 2. The ability to drag a route rather than simply use the calculated one.

That I really live in Seattle and not NY. I can't get this app to recognize that I live in NY. It won't get my location. Just constantly tells me I'm in Seattle. Am I in Seatlle? Has this been a joke all along? Just like their app on Windows Phone, this is useless and doesn't work right. I get better traffic updates via carrier pigeon.

Overall a pretty good app that I use mostly on my desktop machine before venturing into traffic. One problem appears when zooming. As you get in closer on the map, the traffic information overlay disappears. Only when you pull out again does the traffic info show up once again. That's annoying when trying to view neighborhood traffic and nothing else. Overall this needs a speed/performance boost but it's on the right track. Please keep the updates coming.

Love the update. Now add a live-tile.

It was working fine before the latest update. It now centers me on the corner of 1st street and Marion St in Seattle ...too funny....I'm about to un-install......

I have this app on my phone and it is very useful on my PC. One plus is that if the traffic color is wrong you can use the app to track you so the correct color appears so you may be able to save some other person from the traffic hell you just found yourself in. I would make this a 5 star app if they would take advantage of the Live Tile feature. Come on guys make it happen!

Even with it's many limitations, this was a useful app on my iPhone. Now with the "upgrade" I can't get past the "Server Error" screen. It's now doing nothing more than consuming RAM. What--no "O" stars??

Works great on my phone, but in Windows 8, it won't let me save my home and work locations.

I have now tried to use this app twice for travel. While traveling on I-95 in VA the app showed me to be in Culpepper, VA--some hour or two from my actual location. Yesterday, again while on I-95 in NC, INRIX Traffic had me in ASHEVILLE, NC--maybe 5-6 HOURS WEST of my location. Maybe it has potential, but completely useless to me as is. WAZE, PLEASE MAKE A WINDOWS APP!!! Please,

This app Kicks A**! I love this app. I use it on my iPhone and can share between Win8 and iOS. ETA's are very accurate. I get an overview of my route, plus I can send my ETA via the Share "charm" thingy...Go INRIX!

I was amazed this also works in Europe!

Good traffic map and nice alternative route tiles. However, with no live tile on the start screen, it's missing on functionality. The Nokia HERE maps commute app on Win Phone 8 is a good model of how useful the live tile is. I don't need to open the app to know if the usual commute is OK. The information's just there on the tile. Inrix is missing on key functionality by avoiding the use of the live tile.

Can't save home or work location, even after going through support. Using Win8 RT.

I really enjoy this app on my WP8 more than on Win8 PC. Reason: GPS is horrible and give me an option to stay in manual location since this is not a mobile PC! Also, I'd like to see an updated tile with larger size option and tile updates on how the traffic is doing for my way home. Please provide account cloud sync access to this Win8 like you do for WP8! More places than only Work and Home are needed. Otherwise good metro design.

If you want to know how long it will take to get home or to work and possible alternate routes, this is the app for you. Get it on your Windows Phone too.

Installed in a snap, great level of detail, impressive refresh rate. I moved so I could walk to work, and it's great to see all the frustration I've saved myself 😉

Not enough options. Don't understand what its trying to do.

Locations all over the place, despite putting in exact addresses. It would just put flags all over the place. The real time traffic works awesome, if you ignore the flags. Must be fixed to be usable.

I live in Hawaii and just started using this. It gives a fairly accurate report on traffic bottlenecks, which is saying a lot since I've yet to come across any app or website that can do so (at least in Hawaii). I would recommend anyone whose skeptical to give it a shot...

Great idea. Terrible execution. In the Windows 8 App I am unable to edit home locations. The one time I was able to do it, it defaulted to the location of the ISP that I use, not my home location. Needs some better testing. I would love to give this 5 stars, but I am afraid I can barely give it one.

Works well, nice UI

if you press <enter> when adding a new address then the address won't be found. However, if you remove all <enters> and keep the address on 1-line then the address will be found..

The map and traffic data are great, especially the surface street traffic and incident/construction reports. I wish it did a better job of remembering where I was on the map (position and zoom level) when I left and came back, but that's a relatively minor annoyance. The biggest missing feature is the lack of a (large-size) live tile so I can see traffic conditions at a glance from the Start screen. Add the live tile, and my rating goes up to 5 stars.

At least for the San Francisco South Bay area this program has saved me a great deal of commute time.

Good: Excellent interface for touch. Fast, fluid, and very responsive at all zoom levels. Can get traffic info at a glance for any region/place. Bad: If you're color-blind, this app is unusable for its intended purpose. The traffic data is shown as red on green, with no switches to change the colors. I genuinely can't tell where the traffic is on these maps. Overall: Three stars. Uninstalled for reasons above, but even without traffic data, this was an amazingly smooth app.
