Only uses the front camera of my Windows tablet.

Worse than useless on a tablet (A Surface Pro 3 in my case). I'm not sure what it WOULD work on as it only uses the front facing webcam with no option to use the rear cam. It does have the option to take a photo, using the rear cam, but then it wouldn't read the QR code that it snapped the picture of. So I uninstalled it and wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time on it.

It can't focus the camera or zoom in so it won't work with a webcam. Doesn't work with a USB microscope either since the code won't fit into the window. Why can't someone write a good barcode app like they have for Android?

Sucks on Surface 2 can't use the back camera

For some reason this defaults to the front cam and not rear camera, and there's no way to change it. I have no idea how anybody could scan a code with the screen facing away from them, so the fact that this is possible is stupid enough. The cherry on top is that you can't change the default camera, so I have to force it to swap cameras. You can't swap cameras in live view mode though. I don't care how good it is at reading codes, it's a broken program

Uses the front camera by default. I can't scan a barcode of my face! Then the Surface 2 camera isn't worth a crap for close-ups. So on the fly barcode scanning just won't work on this system.

This may be the only reader that allows you to upload an image from your computer. However, It would be nice if I could open the links from them.

Considering it a free apps, it reads a lot of barcode types & the live capture is working great. I will give it a 5 stars
