Will the 1700 new entries for the hard bound edition be added to the app program?.

The dictionary is 32 bit and not entirely stable. Need an update to 64 bit version.

This app provides a good definitions but lacks basic reference sections you would want to find in a standard dictionary. The most important and basic function missing is a pronunciation guide. For example, how would one pronounce "kyüt"? Also, as one reviewer pointed out when searching for "conflict", no results are found even though using the alphabetic browsing function it listed and results can be displayed.

Not all words have full detailed information. It actually isn't worth buying. I spent $4.99 for a crappy version of the dictionary that doesn't give you the origin of the words and or either the root of it. Waste of a purchase! Do not waste your money on this app, it is not worth it. You also have to have a connection to the internet to hear the words and that isn't very fun when you don't have internet connections to use it.

Better if given it for free...!

This is a quite useful app, but I nonetheless find myself often going to the web version. There are two reasons for this. 1. This content of this version is no nearly as extensive as the Web version. That, of course, is no surprise since the Web version has lots of advertising to support two. 2. I find it most annoying that when you open this the search box does not open automatically. I am sure there must be people who launch this to see the list of words they have most recently looked up, but I have never done that. So every time I use this I have to go through the extra step of selecting search.

The app is amazing in it has concise definitions with links to synonyms, antonyms, examples, history of the word, and even a text-to-speech for the phonetic. Simply amazing, and a great companion to self-study.

I like the app, but my would-be 5-star is severely tarnished by a simple-to-fix sloppy UI annoyance where every time I search for a word, the page for the new word comes up cleanly at first, but then there is a split second "flash", as if the previous screen reappears briefly and then disappears again. Happens every time I search and go to a new word, please fix and I'll change my review to 5 stars.
