Comments for Metro Commander Pro

Works well generally but can sometimes have a problem with file name length. Would also add other features to facilitate backups, etc.

It worked as advertised, had a great interface and could open rar and zip and other files. My problem is, after I installed it everything went slow on my pc for a day until I uninstalled it. Internet browsing was incredibly slow, online games had latency issues and lagging, and one time store even refused to open for a whole 5 minutes. I unistalled, Boom! I restarted my pc and here I am writing this review with my previously fast pc. Get it if you don't care about safety as it works fine, but for the others, shy away.

Great idea and presentation, a modern Norton Commander :)

The Modern UI needed a touch first file management app - this is it. From instant previews of video files to multiple file copies to recently inserted media, this app is a necessity for power users who transfer files between touch devices.

a beautiful but slow program with too many movement necessary to accomplish tasks.

After the latest update I see no video (only sound) for some .mkv files. Otherwise great app!

...it could use a progress bar for transfers & uploads

Navigating folders in each of the panes is a little different. Not used to selecting a directory as the base and not being able to navigate above that directory.

I've been using this app for years in its previous versions too, it's a great app.

As expected with a name like this, it resembles the Norton Commander or the DOS Navigator, does what I expect and is super easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Works basically like it should. Does more than other apps of its type, and does it better.

It is a pretty good app to access files and it was availablthe to re download after I had to reset my laptop. I wasn't going to pay 2 times. Odd way to view files and folders though.

This app is pretty darned effective. It's done everything I've needed to, though I was a little confused figuring it out.

All the Modern apps seem to be much slower than the desktop versions. Otherwise this is OK.

Excellent app for those who prefer dual pane file managers in a touch environment.

I love this app! This is the best app in the store, hands down!

I trialled this app solely for its purported MKV support and I was not let down. Metro Commander is now my default video player on my Surface RT. The price tag is a little high but the convenience and features are worth it imo.

A great touch friendly alternative to the desktop UI. This is perfect for use of W8 on a tablet because it allows you to preview pics and videos in the background while you're moving them from one folder to the next. It takes a few 'different' clicks from the process you would normally use in Desktop UI, but it does this so that you can move larger amounts of files from one place directly to another. And again, very touch friendly.

This App Works Well and Allow you to view numerous file types in one place and also let you move them and archive them all an the same app

Highly recommended. It links to all the cloud storage services. It also lets you see two drives side by side.

Taking a little to get used to, but it's not so bad.

Well I really like this app, but every time I play .mkv file it just doesn't play sound. Also if I use an external hard drive sometimes this app quits for no reason. Really hope you guys could fix this.
