I try to put a song on but it will not work who would get this app

It's not letting me purchase or play my music

No good
27 August 2014
It doesn't show me music when i'm tryin' to find it
21 August 2014
Update to the update: the next day after adding the album I mentioned below, the rest of my collection finally showed up again. No clue why, but I think it would help tremendously if MusicDJ would give you some sign that a re-sync is in process. Some more good things I've discovered about MusicDJ (ignoring the craziness about how it handles updating the collection): (1) Recognizes mp3 tag edits after the original sync, whereas Media Monkey for example doesn't and (2) Continues playing successive tracks on an album/playlist even when you turn the screen off, unlike the Xbox Music app.
Update: added an album to my collection and now that album is the only one MusicDJ sees. Fail.
Original: I've tried every music player in the store I could find. MusicDJ is the only one that covers all the bases for me. The search language described on the website is powerful and simple.

Make skins, make it so we can see/preview long titles in the search bar's results. Make it that this opens up when I select a music from my desktop (default program).Lastly, out of all the ones I tried, this is the one with the fewest problems.
It crashes when I put too many musics in a playlist
I like no ads, free and simple💎.
But: please fix the following glicth- when i open an album, i cant select play all and then save playlist,
Make it so we can erase playlists

A lovely simplistic interface, very simple to use and it so far it hasn't been crashing unlike 90% of the horrendously windows apps I use. But I find it really odd that there isn't an option to just play all my music - I have thousands of songs and making a playlist out of all these sometimes is just a bother and I only want to shuffle my entire library in the background on a Friday evening spent with family or friends. Please add this simple function and it'll be perfect!

I gave it 5 instead of 4 stars because its just that good right from the app store. Surely some additions can be made here, and there like others noted but this is a great replacement for the Music app provided with Win8 and RT.

this app is just a music player you can not dj
16 December 2013
I tried a variety of music apps from the Microsoft store to run on my new Surface 2, not really liking the Xbox version. This is best so far, imp. It's fast and easily found my many albums on the SD card. My only complaint is that it doesn't show my album covers, also on the SD card as jpegs. I paid the $1.50 to get rid of the ads on the bottom of the screen.

Doesn't support FLAC - you know the completely free to use and implement audio format that's been the most popular lossless audio format for more than a decade. So that's great. It doesn't maintain a library of your audio files, so it has to rescan your database each launch, which is great, because, it's like 1993 and I totally only have like 30 MP3's on my computer.
16 November 2013
This didn't have ads for me for a long time, and I guess the last update put them back. That's a bummer - I hate in-app ads. I'd even be willing to pay $1.99 to get an ad-free version of this app, because it's the only decent music app I've found so far.
4 November 2013
This is one of the best music players in the store, if not the best. It thankfully doesn't complicate the music player experience with trying to get online and getting unnecessary info.
Its advanced search capability is awesome and the drag and drop method of creating a playlist is pretty cool too.
Would like to see 2 new features added: play all and add search result to playlist.

Doesn't work... Continues to crash (I have windows 8.1)
12 October 2013
This app is exactly what I was looking for - something that takes up as little space as possible on my Surface Pro, without any extra features I don't need. I really hope it stays free and ad-free!! Works great with the play/pause feature on my Bluetooth headphones, too. A+!

Without a doubt, Music DJ is the best music for Windows RT.
Frustrated with the slow, unwieldy built-in Music app for WinRT, I've been searching for an alternative, and Music DJ is it.
Featuring a simple interface and all of the basic functionality (save an EQ), Music DJ does its job well. While ad-supported by default, the extra $1.50 or so to fully unlock this app is a small price to pay.
To conclude, if you want a seamless music playback experience on WinRT, Music DJ is the app for you.

Wanted something better than xBox. They must have added shuffle 'cause it's there in the bottom control line. Seems to be saving my list without my asking, but just started using it. Now it just needs an equalizer, then I'd give it 5 stars. But so far I'm satisfied.
18 June 2013
This is the best one I used it plays music and doesn't have
any online stuff which I love. Fast but just needs a few things and it would 100% Like shuffle and search clear/help.
The rest never could load in all my music. Xbox music was a joke.

I don't understand the negativity others have but this is just perfect. Easy navigation and adding songs into the playlist. The song list loaded quickly and seems someone did not read the help section regarding the sd card. Shame on that person. As someone else said, its not a dj player, but its a great music player. Also remove ads by buying it. Understandable since you would have to pay for an app like this without apps.

Does not even come close... sorry...
27 May 2013
Under 'songs', I would like the option to set the songs column to random, so that I can then select my choices from a list of random songs...like on an old jukebox....instead of my entire collection in alphabetical order. Also, if it's true that the entire collection must be rescanned on each startup, that's not so good for a very, very large collection.
23 May 2013
Easy to use, people at your computer can easily move your playlist around, and that's what counts for me. It just needs a crossfade, and it would be golden.
4 May 2013
Rescans all songs in music library every time the app is launched. Very slow with a large library. Scrolling is slow and laggy. Also, ads. Not a useful app.
