Comments for OneDrive for Business

Can no longer send videos through. Updates behave like downgrades.

Throws exception error when I try to sign-in with a valid account. My account works on the Office 365 web portal, BUT NOT WITH THIS APP!

Not able to access files/folders shared from other users. Interface is horrible, skip this app and just use the web page if you need access to One Drive for business, app doesn't even include the sync folder inside of explorer.

Where is basic, fundamental, necessary information like how much space my OneDrive has and how much I've used? I just sat here for 10 minutes trying to find this basic information, but it is nowhere to be found.

it's great already. It's even better on mobile device. But I think the tablet version should be better. For example, why doesn't it have support for sharepoint libraries? (since in Win RT we can't have exe installs) and why can't we have offline access to files? These two things are really a necessity for this app to work even better..

Completely useless. The app won't let me sign into my onedrive through my school email account. No idea how the app works because I cannot even sign in.

I have a .Estate rather than a .com email for my business and I am not able to either use my windows phone or surface2 OneDrive App because it doesn't accept anything other than a .com please fix, since more and more domains are being made.

App will not open, crashes every time!!

This app won't even open. And, because this is a Microsoft product, it is even more disappointing. And, the fact that I need this to open my office365 account makes it a nuisance.

avatar

Just downloaded and will not open. Crashes every time. Can't even sign in.

This app opens then closes. Totally useless. Disgusted. Without the ability to at least move files to different folders, to copy files, this app is frustrating to use at best. Its almost like an apple product.

App no longer opens. Uninstalled/reinstalled numerous times. Simply will not work.

It's clear MS has done something to this app or the 8.1 OS in the last week or so because this app no longer works. When launched, you get the splash screen, then an immediate crash, rendering this 100% useless. Unfortunately, installing the actual Software (not Metro App) from a 365 account yields no better result. The software installs but will not show as a folder in Explorer, meaning you cannot save to it (thus why I came back to the Metro App). But with this now not working, I'm forced to a web browser. I have seen posts in MS forums about this, and all of them have no answer. Come on MS -- this is YOUR app on YOUR platform. How about some testing first, and then a resolution when it's brought to your attention that it is no longer working?

Won't load at all even for setup. Crashes immediately.

Error comes back as "no space on the server" Guess the 1tb of space via OneDrive peters out about 999 gb too soon. Off to MS support to sort it out.

Microsoft is incapable of developing a reliable and trustworthy sync engine for their lousy 5000/20,000 file limit online storage services. I'm constantly getting errors opening files from sync folder that the file has changed and a newer version is available when it's NOT a newer version AT ALL and if you listen to these blatantly wrong dialogs suggesting a file is newer you WILL lose data. CHECK YOUR FILES PEOPLE before accepting Microsoft's word. The sync engine is wrong. Maybe Microsoft should consult Google or DropBox or even Apple (who uses Azure for iCloud) on how to accurately sync files.

Unlike one of the reviews says, you can move files back and forth, and you can upload files. The only annoying bug I have found yet is if you try to upload a full folder, it will give an error message and say you don't have enough space. However, this is just a glitch. You have to manually create a new folder, and upload the files one-by-one, with enough space

Biggest weakness is that it does not provide "online only" access to files and folders stored in the cloud (like with One Drive personal). Therefore, if you sync with a notebook, or my case a Surface Pro 3, it will immediately put all those files and folders on your local hard drive using precious storage. You also can not see thumb nail images of either PDF or graphics files, only icons. Makes it tough findig that one document or photo you're searching for. I suggest you use One Drive personal if you have a choice.

Current version is very useless. I can only access my own folder and files. Cannot see any files shared with me, cannot access sites. Has a lot of room to improve. NOT suitable for business use at all!

avatar

6 October 2014

This app needs to have all the functionality of the OneDrive for personal use app and PLEASE add a way to access shared sites or documents.

avatar

30 September 2014

You need to add a sort option. Presently the files/folders are sorted alphabetically -- add an option to sort by date

avatar

7 September 2014

The app does allow access to my OneDrive for Business account but it does not integrate into the Desktop like the personal OneDrive app does.

avatar

2 September 2014

All of the Mobile OneDrive for Business apps could really use the ability to add team site files to the list of accessible files. Without this feature, the app is pretty useless.

29 August 2014

Need functionality similar to the onedrive app that is included in windows 8.1. This app does not allow offline storage nor provide a onedrive business folder in the windows desktop mode. Ease of use and features are severely lacking.

avatar

Without folders this app is basically useless unless you enjoy hunting through everything to find what you need. I cannot share a folder of customer information with my artist, complete waste of money and hours of frustration.

avatar

Making this the default save location is not intuitive.

avatar

20 August 2014

We are using SharePoint primarily and I have the desktop sync client installed. This app refuses signing me in. If this is not supporting corporate owned sharepoint servers and only SP online or 365, it is pretty useless and shall be named differently - not business
