Best Windows 8 Apps

needs one or two minor updates. It would be great to have units for all properties. Although most of the units are known to the professional user, most people would surely appreciate SI units for all the different properties. I personally would very much welcome a complete overview of all valences for the elements, eg. Iron 2+, 3+ and 4+ with the most common highlighted! This would be great !
Other wise great job BEST PERIODIC TABLE TO DATE!

With the length of the table, zoom tool will be very useful.

loved the orbital config .... wow ...

The actual periodic table works and looks great. 5 stars easy if it didn't have a slew of errors in the data. A prominent example is the number of valence electrons in Chlorine.

This is a really cool app. At first I thought I was just getting a periodic table to be able to study over but in addition to that is also gives you a brief description and explanation of the element you swipe your cursor over. The only thing I dislike is that the app is really slow opening and freezes for a few seconds every once in a while.

so nice to pop on the computer and quickly be able to check on the properties of a specific element.

Complete ripoff of Ptable.com. Expect legal action.

Good app does just what it should, have recommended this to my students that need a little extra help.

Great app for seeing all of an elements' properties quickly!

I wanted to see the shells of the atom with their electrons

but then they put adds on it and said I needed to pay to remove them even though the app was free. Kind of crappy for the people who already owned the app to have to go through that, and misleading that the app is listed under free than when you open it asks you to pay. Other than that bit of poor marketing, it is awesome.

The element properties that show up on the right panel don't have units for all the properties. Please add them. Another suggestion, Can you display the atomic mass of the element right on the element tile, without having to hover over it?

This review focuses on what the app does not have, which is:
. Yep, exactly, it seems to have everything. You can compare everything from the physical state of an element at 273K (and there is a slider to change that), you can look at the melting points, you can look at ionization, you can look at density, etc., and it is all nice and color coded for you.
The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the slider (which is present on more than just the physical state) is very difficult to control, ranging from 0 to 6000 (which means that comparing between 200 and 300 K is hard because you have to move your mouse slowly). Additionally, certain properties (like the physical state) have only one variable (such as temperature, in this case), as opposed to being able to control 2 or more very important variables (the other in this case being pressure). Apart from not showing pictures (which isn't a big deal), there isn't much else that can make this app better.

This app is one of my favorites I have on my computer. I use this periodic table just about every day for college work, and it does exactly what I need it to do.
Easier than finding it in my textbook
very handy for quick reference
im doing this for no ads
great for my science homework and projects

was forced to write review
I am taking General Chemistry and this application was extremely helpful, thanks!
I should not have to suffer through this because the app is free....You should pay me for my time.

So, Now We've got an app for our Lab
Overall its good. But it still has room for improvement like animation, and other information about the elements
Simple yet accurate.
