This app doesn't work! The Macintosh version is more straightforward, easier to configure, and actually connects to the desired system. This application doesn't connect, has limited configuration options, and half the time the configuration part doesn't even come up! This is probably the worst application I have had the sorry pleasure of using in the last 10 years...

The speed is terrible, can barely use it, the previous program built into windows 7 provided very fast connection and performance.

Mouse simulation is great. I need the ability to configure the remote desktop experience like in the desktop application . I am unable to close individual opened sessions, the entire app must be closed to close the sessions. Please build out the features in this app, or add the mouse simulation to the full desktop remote desktop application.

I think this is best app for remote pc, I install it on my android tablet and now I have a touch screen. (I'm using mouse and keyboard on my pc)

Why drop down a titlebar in the main computer? It keeps blocking clicks I am trying to send to the remote desktop computer. The most annoying of all is when this drop down drops right in front of an x I am trying to click in a window on the remote desktop. It ends up getting in the way, and closing the remote desktop app instead of the app inside the remote PC.... so damn frustrating.

use different multi touch gestures to control whether touch or pointer is in effect... also a multi touch gesture to open the keyboard.

Worked fine connecting to my old Windows 7 PC, won't work at all for my new Windows 8.1 PC. Moved to Splashtop instead which works faster, better, and easier (and Splashtop is free as well)!

Just one more thing, please add the option to group connections in a folder or in a group "Metro Start" style, that will make it very convenient for people who connect to multiple connections. Thanks :)

This app has the potential to be great, but it needs help. first, it needs some form of tutorial, it's way to complicated and there is no assistance. Second, connecting to devices needs to be a lot easier, I tried on several occasions to connect my laptop with the app for my phone, and it would never work. as stated before, this app has the potential, it just needs the help. I hope you consider these changes and improve, thank you.

I like that I am able to have multiple sessions running at once, but where are the configuration options that are in the Windows 7 tool? Why can't I adjust the windows and resolution to my liking? Why can't I send logon information to reduce logon time? Another issue is that the full screen window shares the same close box as the remote session. So every time I go to close a remote application like Word, I have to be careful not to close the whole RDP session as well. Really annoying.

By far the most reliable remote desktop app but it forces the remote PC to lock and this interferes with other remote programs/apps namely Steam in-home streaming. Plus there is no option to remotely power down or restart the PC. Otherwise it works great.

I use RDP for EVERYTHING I do. Due to the lack of scaling and the high DPI of every Surface, the RDP session view is so small that it is unusable. It's sad that this hasn't been resolved. I can't recommend an alternative but I hope there is something that will become available soon. Maybe Win10 will have finally figured it out.

HORRIBLE time wasting frustration packed BS ... nothing like the easy of connection using XP or Vista for the matter.

This Remote Desktop app addresses some of my issues re: frequent connections by presenting a nice tile view of recent/ open connections. Its great. I really love the "zoom" feature which dynamically disconnects/disconnect a session to size the screen to your needs. It removes a manual step, and isn't a big deal, but it is a nice to have feature especially if you connect to multiple servers at once and are in need of resizing. The built in controls for manipulating Windows 8+ desktops and servers is also nice, but takes some getting used to. My biggest concern is that we don't get to have fine grained control over visual quality. As a result, you can really only disable visual effects (based on network speed) or leave them on. This can slow things down even over local LAN connecting to a workplace. You can see the performance difference between this and mstsc.exe. Keep up the good work, address granular controls for enterprise users and this is easily a 5 star experience. Thanks!

if you could call up the pointer and keyboard with a finger gesture and pinch zoom, this would be perfect.
