Windows screen capture saves as .png and your software does not support it? What is this the 90s?

I am very happy with the app in general. I do however know the power of Adobe, and the programs they make. Being one of those people who have actively bought/downloaded, installed, and ran Adobe for ten plus years if I do believe. Now that was said, I feel if you are going to give something away for free, go for the gold. Please, do not just give us simple things we know you have. Experiment, astonish, and Expand minds. You are the company many wish to be. I think if maybe you add a portion with suggestions in live time while editing. What I mean by this is I tend to think of, or want to be able to do something I cant with most editing programs, and I tend to finish a couple edits on your program then use another to finish. Even in your Lightroom 5, and elements 12 I found myself wanting more. I would like to know "we the consumer" are not having to go out and spend the amount it takes for CS6, CS7 programs to do what we intend when others offer it for FREE. Thank you, Joe C.

First, I'm happy to see a Photoshop variant in the Store. However, it's very simple right now. Other WinRT photo editors (not to mention Photoshop Touch on iOS) are already more powerful than this, allowing for things a blur or sharpen tool, adding text to images, all sorts of stuff that this can't do. If all you need is the basics, (cropping, rotating, red eye removal, noise reduction, or filters) this will do, but it needs a ton of work before it's really deserving of the Photoshop name.

I was excited to see Adobe Express on Windows RT. However, this version is a disappointment. The editing options are OK. It has some nice features. Some feature cost extra, so its not really a free app. Missing other major ones, such as ability to resize the image. Sharing is very limited. Facebook or Revel. No option to email from the app or send to other sites like Flickr. This is OK for a start, hopefully upgrades are forthcoming.

You have to open each photo individually. You can't scroll through the photos in a directory, so you have to open a photo, edit it, save it, go back to the start screen and go through explorer to open the next photo you want to work on. Makes it really hard to keep track of what you have done and which photos still remain to be edited, especially in large albums. This should be a nice app, but, instead, it is almost unusable.

Hello Adobe. I would like to give me a real Photoshop not a chopped down version. First it weighs 8MB which I think it will be crappy, I was not wrong. First thing I wanted to do is to make a blank image then edit it myself. Why did I need to open a source image? Every standard image editor starts with a blank image even MSPaint. Secondly I wanted to make my image bigger but I couldn't because there wasn't an option in plain sight like all editors have. So make a dawn bar that has file edit etc... Download Paint.NET or GIMP2 instead of PsE, it's not worth your time.

This app says its free, but anything additional- you will be charged! The program itself seems wonderful. But I was irritated when I got a pop-up to pay!

I'm really quite disappointed. I had thought that Adobe would release something greet.... but it's Far Far to basic. Fetor B much better. .. and it doesn't Charge As the ability to blur /sharpen. Please improve this app, Adobe.

I've looked in the app, and online, but can't find out how to perform one of the most basic functions - ZOOM in and out, to view more or less detail of an image. I'm running windows 8.1, but on a laptop that does NOT have touch screen, so maybe the zoom feature is touch-enabled only? If so, that's a bad design choice. Answer/Fix this, and I can rate this 4+ stars.

It's a bait app. You want to reduce luminosity/color noise? That will be $4.99. Very basic app, less function than other truly free apps. If there such half (0.5) star, that is where this app belongs.

I can only Share to say SkyDrive or Facebook. Also, I can't edit a photo&fire it off to say Twitter.. they only give u 4 default share options. work on it please ;) Edit: They fixed the Sharing to Skydrive issue.

It's not quite as bad as some of the other reviews, but is limited. I will continue to use Paint.net and Faststone for my photo editing needs because they do so much more, even though they aren't Win 8 apps.

Cool app but it's not fully free. you need to buy it....

Worth paying for the upgrade! I only with it had batch processing.

Basic editing tools that are easy to use. Can't say much but works great for $5.

so I don't support it

It's okay for basic stuff like cropping and unprofessional photography touch ups. I kinda do prefer using it on my RT than ipad but don't expect much more from it, it's not full version. So don't expect it to be.

Best mini editor I have seen. Makes all my pics look professional and super super easy to use. I wish it would default to the folder of my choosing to access and save pictures...That is my only tiny complaint.

21 July 2013

I only used this program for a short period of time as I had to reboot my system, but it is really amazing and I have improved images which I never knew I could have corrected with such a basic program and a program which comes for free on the app store.

Using Adobe software everyday on my PC.After Effects,Premiere Pro and so on. This tiny app not a photo editor by any means ,with few basic and ugly color correction options. Better features you will find in other apps from Store. As example PhotoFunia.

Couldn't even try it out. First picture I tried to correct, asked for purchase confirmation of $4.99.

but other than that it is missing several, if not most, of the functions that most Adobe Photoshop users have come to expect from their professional suite. In addition, some of the functionality that you are offered must be paid for, from $2.99 for 'premium' looks to $4.99 for noise reduction.

19 December 2013

First it wasn't letting me download...im still waiting for it to download. then I was scrolling down the review and I find out you have to pay for some of the features there's no point in making this app free if you have to pay to get the good stuff. I might as well go to photoedit, cause at least you don't have to pay and that app works 2X as well as this piece of junk.

2 September 2013

The program itself is excellent, but after I started using it, I was hit with a $2.95 charge. It is advertised as free, so what is the charged.

I about used to own photo shop elements and I expected something good out of this app being the newest version of Photoshop. but there is one thing that I hate about adobe they always nickel and dime you with "premiums" I mean 4.99 what were they thinking there are open source software better than this. some of my pictures are ruined because of the anti-redeye feature. my point being don't pay premiums for things that are not worth it when there are better FREE aps that so the same thing.

app fails to upload

19 December 2013

I have this on my laptop and really dislike it. It's better than what comes with Windows 8, but it's extremely limited and locks you into a system you can't get out of.

26 November 2013

The world does not need another junk filter app with features that belong on a phone app. unfortunately 1-star is as low as I can rate this. Photoshop express has historically been a simplified version of Photoshop. This is not simplified - this is a filter app with "Photoshop" slapped on the label to get people to install it.

I have a Surface rt. This doesn't even deserve the title Photoshop. Cause it doesn't even have remotely close to photoshop quality even as a express. Make something better for the Surface Rt and others table like programs. This need to be removed from the market. I have better apps on my Galaxy s3 then this.
