I was very disappointed to learn that this app cannot show content dated prior to Jan 3 2014. And yet there is a particular article I was trying to read on the CRN website, but partway down the page it cuts off the content with a box saying that you need to get the app to continue reading. There was no way to bypass this, so in effect they cut me off from reading the article at their website, and didn't put it in the app. So CRN gets 1 star because they clearly dropped the ball on this one.

Just downloaded the update. Still one of the best apps for news reading. A very nice app optimized for the Surface and Windows 8 tablet devices. The easy navigation, sections and company info makes getting the right CRN content with ease and simplicity. One of the best magazine readers made for a the best user experience.

Great way to get daily tech news. You don't need to be online, app caches news for later reading. Layout is simple and fresh. App gets out of the way of content. Like it.
