Cuber 8

Cuber is a puzzle game consisting of 24 different cube configurations. It offers several never before seen puzzling challenges, and can be considered as one of the more unique cube puzzle software simulations available on any platform. (See screenshots for several examples of the unique puzzling challenges.) The 18 default puzzle types found in Cuber include 4 standard (2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5), 3 odd-sized (2x2x4, 2x2x3, 2x3x3), 2 half-space (2x2x2, 3x3x3), 3 isolated (all 3x3x3), 2 chromium (2x2x2, 3x3x3), and 4 model (2x2x2 shape) cube types. Odd-sized puzzles are real configurations rarely seen in software-based puzzle cube simulations, which provide an additional degree of difficulty by enforcing limited layer movements. The 2x2x4 and bonus 3x3x5 odd-sized puzzles will change shape, where simply getting back to the original dimensions can be a challenging task. Half-space cube puzzles are original creations first introduced by Cuber where half of the colors are removed from a standard puzzle. The result is a surreal display in which the remaining faces float in an overall cube formation representing half of a working puzzle. The additional isolated puzzles are unique creations for enthusiasts that provide a new perspective on the well-known 3x3x3 cube. The 3x3x3 chromium (mirror) cube is based on a real-life puzzle that requires a player to match pieces based only on their relative sizes. The 2x2x2 chromium puzzle is unique to Cuber. Model puzzles resemble real-world objects turned into 2x2x2 puzzles. These include the Robot, Truck, Soda, and Earth puzzles. These shapes provide a new and welcomed challenge for any puzzle fan.
