PLEASE INSTALL THE UPDATE! much more fun with them & overall performance is much better and smoother with it! tips: when you get freeze & frenzy banana 2gether, slide your finger across screen to get 10fruit combo also use 4 fingers 4 the pomegranate 2 get more hits.

and i didnt pay 4.99 for it because i had it on windows 8 release preview so it just let me install it. lotʻs of fun!!!!! and i dont know why anyone would pay 4.99 for fruit ninja. that just seems overpriced in my opinion.

Crashes after Arcade mode, every time.
Lost $4.99 worth of star fruit (20k), because on restart the app does not remember the amount I has.
Would be a good game though, love the phone/Kinect version.

While slicing fruits, the Windows 8 touch gestures can sometimes accidently close the game or switch to another app.
Other than that, it's a fun game

I know Halfbrick makes very great games... I have fruit ninja on almost every media device I own but on my Dell Xps this app doesnt even work. Please fix. It open but only for a few seconds.

For people with the demo, uninstall the app, go to Your apps, click on fruit ninja on the list of apps not installed, click the app then install button. that should fix it and give you the latest version

On my Surface, it crashes right at the end as it is tallying up the Arcade score. Happens 100% of the time. Just tried on my new x64 Lenovo - crashes too. C'mon guys, you need to fix this. 😢 It would be a fun game, otherwise.

just shows HALFBRICK and goes back to the start menu, but it works fine on my Android phone :-)

I love playing the game, yet every time I complete an arcade game it crashes the app and sends me back to the dashboard, thus making achievements impossible to work.

Running the game on my Dell Latitude 10 w/ Win 8 Pro, it crashes at the completion of EVERY Arcade mode game. The crash occurs when the bonuses / results screen appears, it partially slides in from the bottom, freezes, then drops back to the Start menu. The crashes have reset my starfruit count multiple times and prevented backgrounds & blades from unlocking properly. All I have left is the arcade mode achievement, rather disappointing I can't finish it.

I installed it on my dell inspiron 6400. Whenever I open it, it shows the "Halfbrick Studios" splash screen and then exits me out to the start menu. Needs to be fixed.

I have played this game on both Android and iOS, and the app works fine.
However, on Windows 8, it is a completely useless app.
On preview versions of Windows 8, this app always crashed and never even launched.
On the Release Preview, the app still doesn't launch. Windows tells me that the Windows Store can fix the app, but it doesn't.
On mobile OSs, this app works just fine. Yet on Windows 8, the only use for this app is to show off the tile on the start menu.

Most of apps or games on Windows 8/RT launch slowly even on a high end PC while the iPad with slower specs runs smoothly everything, I don't know why! May be the code has not been optimized or the development platform of Windows 8/ RT is weak itself.

Didn't have to pay $4.99 since I installed it during Windows 8 Preview days, when it was free. If you have problem updating the game, first uninstall and then re-install from store.

Same problem as William down here. Windows Store says there's an update for the game, but It can't update and when I tried to uninstall it... it isn't at the Start Screen anymore! So now Windows Store will be always saying there is an update, a broken update, and the game is actually still using the almost 200 mbs space. Hope you fix this as soon as possible.
