tried to play MKV files without success. it plays too fast, and reducing play speed on the GOM settings menu did nothing to help.
I have to rate this a fail.

I love it I love it I love it. The gestures to conteol ff and rewind and volume is amazing, perfect and convenient for watching videos on surface. You don't have to sweat over fast forwarding and rewinding by moving the lil ball on the bar anymore. One bad thing.. my flv videos don't work to well. Otherwise omfg Microsoft really needed this for rt.

easy to use and good for playing mkv files. needs more support with subtitles especially styled. overall great app and lightweigh does not lag for me unlike other apps

Everything is reachable from settings but would be nice have direct access for subs.
Playing in bacground would be nice as option.

I have one surface rt and this is the only app that can play mkv and subtitles with no problems. Simple and free. Way better than vlc and others.

I do not know if this plays other files properly, because all I care about is MKV and AC3 so this does the job. I am able to watch the movies on my Synology, since they do not have an app yet so very happy. Surface running Windows RT 8.1

This is the best free video player for windows 8. It is small in size and provides many options like in desktop application.

곰플레이어가 나와서 너무 좋습니다. 아직 초기 버전이라 완전하지는 않지만 그래도 최고의 플레이어입니다. 제가 겪은 증상은 인터넷 연결이 안되어 있으면 동영상 플레이를 하지 못하였습니다. 다음버전에서는 수정이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.

Great player.
It just needs a few improvements with subtitles:
1. Show a black border around text, so we can see the text in all backgrounds
2. Ability to choose color and font of subtitles.
3. Open subtitle (which has the same name as the file itself) when I open a file from explorer, or open file from bottom bar.
