No pounds? This is an American app right? Can't edit weight if made a mistake. Poor app.

I thought this app would link to my Fitbit Charge so I wouldn't have to go on the website all the time. IT DOESN'T!!!!
IF YOU HAVE A FITBIT (of any kind) PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD!

Since MS is killing off their own MSN Health & Fitness app I decided to see if this was still working and it is but it's woefully inadequate. Pretty much useless as a diet tracker since the food database is so small and the interface is very clunky. What's worse is there doesn't seem to be any plans to do anything with the Microsoft Health app which is only useful if you have a Band. I guess a non-MS alternative is the only choice since MS doesn't seem to know what it's doing anymore.
28 June 2015
It would be nice if it worked with the Microsoft products. Otherwise it's useless.

My most important data are the lab results.
I need to be able to sort them by LOINC and date, regardless if lab result is part of a panel. The graphs are meaningless, because they aren't grouping results by LOINC, instead, they are being grouped by the test name supplied by the lab. Every lab is different. Many labs like to get creative when naming their tests.
I always included the LOINC value when adding my lab work manually. NOW, it is federally mandated to send EHR using the HL7 CCDA schema. Any descent lab will provide you with the CCDA file or connect to HealthVault for you; the LOINC values are in there. The schema requires LOINC values for lab results. HealthVault uses the arbitrary and poorly named title of results, not the LOINC. Naming an IGF-1 test as IGF-1 Binding Protein is a serious misnomer, same LOINC, not graphed together. E2 and E2 ultrasensitive aren't the same, graphed together.
The graphs are invalid. My medical team and I can't use them.

All of my health data in one place. Charts help make it very easy to see positive and negative trends. I bought a Microsoft Band and had been using MyFitness Pal for awhile. It took less than a minute to have them syncing their data. I bought a Homeric blood pressure monitor with Bluetooth at Walgreens, instantly in HealthVault. If you need to be watching your health. You probably need this app too.

This is a really great addition to the library of apps, it syncs medical information across all your devices (or the Web), integrates with the Microsoft Band so that your exercise activity is automatically uploaded to HealthVault, and also integrates with other devices like my wifi scale to keep track of fluctuations in your weight (and I imagine you could do the same with wifi blood pressure devices, etc).
It's really nice to have this all in one place to either be able to report to the doctor or just keep track of how things are going.
Only thing I would like it to do better is allow you to pull your emergency contacts from your existing contact lists in Windows, but not a big deal to double enter them once...
28 February 2015

Can't find most of the food that I eat. Very frustrating. Food & drink not available on windows phone.
12 February 2015
Unfortunately it is not as good ad Healow offered by Apple and Google. You can find your clinic and make appointments, find appointments, get recorders, medications, trackers, check-in, and others. https://mycw28.eclinicalweb.com/portal2720/jsp/100mp/login.jsp

Wish it could print, keeps nice grafts
21 December 2014
This is a nice app and you can track a lot of things with it, but its missing integration the Microsoft Band!
17 December 2014
This is a pretty good app but I would like it much better if you can access it when you are not connected to the internet. There is information that can be entered without the use of the internet.
8 December 2014
Adding food typically searches in a database of known foods (most health and fitness apps provide that). The database associated with HealthVault is so small it might as well not exist (I am NOT going to enter manually the nutrition information for everything I eat...).
The separation between this app and MSN Health is ridiculous. One app has functionality and the other has usability/visual appeal and both can't don't data. MSN Health should have been simply a front end for the HealthVault data for casual users not interested the power usage of HealthVault...
Lastly, think of a way to utilize live tiles (also the icon is really against modern design, especially since this is a Microsoft app...)
What worries the most is that now with Microsoft Health, Microsoft has three separate clouds of health data... What is the big picture they're aiming at? Why is there a lack of transparency with respect to their goal..?
(I know Microsoft Health will connect with HealthVault eventually...)

3 November 2014
I love how MSN Health syncs with HealthVault so I can use my phone as a workout tracker, but now that I have a Microsoft Band, I'm wondering if/when HealthVault and Microsoft Health will be integrated. Five stars if they integrate or merge.
1 October 2014
This app was great when I installed it. Now I cannot get access on my Dell tablet.
21 August 2014
My Doctor wants to see my progress as well. Sadly Microsoft does not provide for sharing with your doctor or even printing pages for your doctor. Amazing how short sided this app is.
11 July 2014
nice app
30 June 2014
Does what is supposed to, features lacking compared to the website, and it is very slow to sync to devices that connect to it.
30 May 2014
this kind of app I have been looking for such a long time ago, now I can keep track my health and sync between my Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1 and iPhone, please update this kind of great app to support iPad.
21 May 2014
I like that it sync my data between my Surface and my Windows Phone.
I hope to see more medical institutions use this free service.
19 May 2014
Great way to track and update information and statistics. Love the way it integrates with Bing Health & Fitness and Windows Phone. Nice work!
18 May 2014
I have used this app several times and for some reason it doesn't update
information. Like calories. There doesn't seem to be a way to change information either. I couldn't get it to update my weight changes, activities,
calories or my conditions and medication. There isn't a way to contact developers either. In the end it proved to be useless all the way across the board.
12 April 2014
I no longer want my Microsoft I.D. to be associated with health vault. There is no way to do it.
7 March 2014
This is certainly a good application although it would be nice if it had the medium and large tile as well. Love my personalization.
28 February 2014
It could use some major tweaking....when you enter the milligrams, or mcq's or what have you of the medication some of those codes are missing, the auto fill's on the app should be removed. Does print fairly well, but none of the dosage amounts, etc are printed with the medication. Doesn't print which contact you made your primary contact, if you check multiple sections to be printed it prints the allergies first.
18 February 2014
I tried this app for a few months so I had plenty of experience with it. It's quite good if you have the time to input your diet and exercise regime and the articles that you could view from various sources were great for information and tips.
The problems arose with the scale settings with things like lbs to kg. Its linked to the website which helps if you register and set your profile on that as well, but I found after inputting several weeks of data it would get wiped with an update even with a site profile. It's calender was off too displaying data In places a day behind or foward from where I had entered it.
The exercise tracker is good but its very limited to what information you can put in and see. The diet information is frustrating to input and delete with ease as well. I'm assuming because it's all designed for tablets, but the drawback is that the level of control and detail you need to input your own notes and create new custom items is so frustrating limited.

I use HealthVault on the web and through this app. I also use Bing Health & Fitness app. Be aware the web HV has some things the app doesn't (like DR appointments). The HV app works great. It's easy, straightforward, and it's quicker than the webHV or H&F to enter daily food intake. Annoyances: H&F has nutritional info and you can click to add to daily intake. HV won't do this. HVapp puts trendlines only on Cholesterol chart. HV in general won't track water or temperature, so the app doesn't either. I haven't used the Activity or Steps modules. Overall, great app with a couple holes. I'm going to check Medical Wallet to see if it plugs these holes. If you're thinking of using HV, make sure you start with the web, then get the app, and plan to use both. Take a serious look at the H&F app also.
