It does not have as much research resources as the Old Testament Studies Toolkit. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort and what is available.

There are other packages that do similar things, but their price is through the roof. This app lets you work through a passage with the level of detail needed to teach an pretty deep adult Bible study.

I love J. Vernon McGee, he has the gift of teaching difficult matters in an easy-to-understand way. This app will benefit anyone wanting to learn from the best.

you can't beat this app for the price (free). Great quick reference when I have a quick question about a Greek word.
6 January 2015
Just downloaded this and have played around with it a little bit... I really like this app!
Pro: more than just KJV. (NASB too). Strong's ref -can look at it on a basic level, or click and go deeper!! FREE! Everything is available off line. Books are grouped into categories. chapters have sub headings to easily what I'm looking for. "Arrows" at the top of the screen to jump to the next passage. Quick response to questions.
Con: Only NT - would appreciate the OT too.
There's no quick start manual to figure out how to use this well... I had to hunt and swipe around to find what I was looking for. I think that must be why they have the link to their website. I asked a question and received a response pretty quickly (under and hour?!)
Over all, this is the only free, quality Bible study app I have found for my new Surface Pro that is offline (important to me), and had Strong's. Thanks!!!

GRATE STUDY TOOL THANKS FOR ALL

I can't get the concordance to show up anywhere. Where are the instructions to make it work?
5 April 2014
I love this app. So far, it is the only one that comes with the NASB for free, has references, and has the Greek version to compare to. My only complaint is that it does not have the old testament as well. Would love for them to expand. Awesome!

I am using this program alongside the regular HeavenWord Toolkit. Between the two, most of the core resources I use for teaching preparation are available to me. They have done an amazing job on this. It is very simple to use. If you are not sure where to find something, check out the tips under the settings charm.
Thank you for your effort to provide quality tools.

Amazing how all this is put together. Outstanding job. What about ESV?

FREE???? really? This is one of the most expertly designed bible study apps I have ever seen. How is this free? Get this app! Amazing. God bless.

Wow, this is such a great tool! I have Bibleworks, but this fills in the gap when I want to just use the tablet instead of sitting in front my workstation and hunker down to do a few hours of serious study. I am also very impressed with the UI design and the care that the author puts into making things useful and beautiful at the same time. Now if they would write one for OT (Hebrew text and all that) and that would just be wonderful.
Thank you!

This amazing software is better than many commercial programs costing hundreds or thousands of dollars.
First, it allows you to read wither KJV or NASB and also supports reading the Greek text directly. Second, you can click on any verse in the English translation and it will show you the underlying Greek AND pronounce the words for you as you click on individual words.
But that's not all, you can read the Greek text in "Graded Reader" view. This means that, if you have memorized your first year Greek words, you can read any Greek on the screen as the non-first year words are defined for you. This is much like a beginning reader's edition of the Greek Bible in print.
I cannot praise this free software enough. In my opinion, it makes having Windows 8 essential for the serious student of scripture (at least until they make it available on other platforms [smile... hint...]).

English text accompanied by Greek, word order, parsing definitions and even audio pronunciations. Very nice app!
A little clunky to navigate and a bit laggy but well worth it.
The Lexical Form Frequencies only work sporadically and only with the SBL.
App needs to remember the last location when opened and needs a home button.
Keep up the good (AGATHOS) work.
Would like to see a home button to return to book list quickly, too many steps to get to new book when following along in a live study.

If you app had more translation/versions of the Word I would 've downloaded. I'll check back for an updated more comprehensive version later.

I would suggest to have the esv translation which is very accurate. Also, google the site bible web app (or something similar, you might get some ideas from there). Thanks for your hard work! God bless.

Its a good basic study guide for the NT. Same HeavenWord has a combo OT and NT Bible Study "toolbox" available also which augments this and other Bible study programs avail at the store. Its free, so far I have found no stand-alone program avail that does it all so download several. Hopefully they will keep upgrading to bring it up to the E-Sword standard. E-Sword is not avail for RT......its a Windows program so it will not work on my Surface.....

This is a developer at HeavenWord. If you have a question, difficulty or request, please email us, a link is on our website.
As to the OT question, if we did the OT, it would be a separate app. In our NT app, we have multiple FREE resources, including 4 tagged GNT texts, lexical resources, English glossings & Greek audio for all canonical word forms. Some of those resources took us YEARS to develop. None of those tools exist for the OT in a form we can release for free. We wish we could.
31 January 2013
You'd get a higher rate if you included or if you have the OT App also.
17 January 2013
for the sole purpose of studying NT in Greek, I think this app is the best so far in win 8. plus it's free!
and it's fast.

Gives a brief summary about books , chapters and each section of the book even before you start reading the Bible. you would love to see the structure of the app at every stage. Thanks to the app developers :)
