The best word processor used that covers all my immediate needs at less than a fraction of the cost. MWP handles everything I throw at it and does it without a complicated training curve. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

Recently, a windows system update (March 12, 2015) broke my app. I'm happy to report that the problem has been fixed and there is no more problem. Please update to version 6.1.x.x.

I have been working with my documents using this app. Its quality is pretty high and the programmer has been very helpful to my questions.

I'm not sure why this app doesn't get more press. It is a very functional writing app that has most of the options that one would find in a desktop word processor.

I'm happy with the purchase.

This semester, I've written all my English papers with this app. The auto save feature works great, giving me the peace of mind. I really can't think of anything negative about this app.

Bought this app so my wife and I can use on our laptop we just bought. So far so good. We are glad we found this app. It does everything we need and works perfectly.

Thank you for getting your app fixed I find that it is a very good word processor and exceedingly beneficial for my needs. Again thank you.

After having used this app for 3 months now, it still runs great. There's been tons of updates. I like it a lot.

I bought this app last month. Last week, the app stopped working. I emailed the programmer and promptly got an answer. He said the recent windows update was incompatible with this app. He also said he was working hard to fix it. A couple days later, he came out with an update and it fixed the problem. I'm very impressed with how fast the programmer responded to my email and how fast he worked to solve this problem.

This app is pretty good. I have been typing my papers for my classes using this app. It's not as sophisticated as Microsoft Office, but I don't think it was intended to be.

Cheap alternative to office word. Just as functional.

Good for writing essay.

I have been using this app for more than a month. I really like the UI design. What I'm really impressed with is how fast the developer responded to my request. I asked him to make the inserted image not go off the screen if it is wider or higher than the page. He responded in the same day saying he would send out an update for this right away. And sure enough, The following day there was an update that fixed this issue. Now, when I insert an image bigger than the page, the image resize itself to fit the page.

This app is functional enough for writing essays and taking notes in class. I've written 2 papers with this app. What I really like is I could email the paper to my professor from within this app. With other apps, I had to save to a file, then use the mail app to attach the saved file and email it. This app allows you to so it automatically.

I find this program to be every bit as functional as the more expensive word program and I regret I didn't find Modern Word before I purchased the other program!

I have the theme set to side tabs and the color to purple. This makes the app beautiful every time I use it. I really like the creative UI options in this app. This app is simple to use. Everything seems intuitive enough. I really like how the app gives us a variety of tools to use and a variety of text formatting options to choose from. This app can be as simple or sophisticated as you want.

I'm an independent short story writer. My husband recently bought me a Surface Pro 3. Before with a laptop, I always used Microsoft Office. With this new tablet, I thought I would try something else more touch oriented. I looked in the store to find a writing app that I could easily use with my new computer. There really aren't that many options for a good writing tool. I really like the following features in this app: (1) The ability to auto save. My work are important. (2) Must have spell checker. Saves me time. (3) Be able to save multiple formats. Some people I send my work to want different formats. (4) Be able to save to a PDF file that are word selectable. This app's exported PDF files are word searchable. (5) Have styles. This may seem nitpicky, but being able to quickly make a line or paragraph a certain style is a time saver. I want to list more but the review only allow so many characters. In short, this is a good writing tool for a touch device.

I have been using this app for a couple months now. I think there were may be 6 or 7 updates during this time. One of the updates made it possible to export the document to a pdf file. The latest update I got before this review made it possible to email the current document I'm working on directly from within the app. Overall, I'm impressed with the developer's regular updates. I would recommend this app. Works for my surface pro 3.

Not as "elegant" as the high priced spreads, but does most of the same things in an intuitive manner and is perfectly adequate for everything except the most advanced word processing.

I have tried the trial version and it worked very well, for someone that is not very good with computers this was very easy to use. thank you

When I started trying to find writing apps, I was surprised to not find that many options in the apps I found. What I really wanted was the ability to export a typed up document to pdf to keep the formatting consistent. After trying out several apps, I found this one. It has everything I needed and more. Good job dev for giving this app plenty of functions to choose from.

This is the only metro writing app I know that actually feels like an actually desktop program when I'm writing and changing the formats of the texts. The auto save and spell checker work great. Love the night mode when I'm working late at night. Don't have anything to complain about.

I asked the programmer a question, and he responded within an hour. I made a suggestion and it was included in the following update. More programmers should be this responsive to emails.

I really like the simple interface. Just swipe down from the top edge or bottom edge and it turns into full screen. Seems simple enough. Works great with my surface pro 3.

Best word app in the windows store. Seems to be able to do most things essential. Wish it could open MS publisher files, though.

avatar

3 December 2014

It works fine for me. I can open all my existing documents. I've been using this app for writing short stories. The auto save gives me the peace of mind. I also like the new styles the programmer added.

I guess I'm not used to seeing an "app" that has so many functions. Usually, windows apps tend to be single purpose apps that. This one seems to be very close to an actually desktop word processor program. I'm also surprised how fast the programmer responds to my emails. Actually, I'm surprised that the programmer responds at all. Usually, programmers just ignore my emails.

I used this back when it was more of a simple text editor. And it worked pretty good back then, too. But now, I can't believe how well it works as a word processor. It can even export to pdf document. I've been using this app to write my English papers. The one thing that made me write this review is how fast the developer responded to my email. I asked him if he could put in styles. He responded right away saying he would. Sure enough, the update came the following day with styles. I don't know if it's 1 developer or a group of developers, although in the email he kept referring to himself as "I". But anyhow, much thanks for listening, dev. Keep up the good work.
