The NBC News App is fantastic at this point. It was ridiculous before when I couldn't even get on without answering "who my ISP" was in order that they can track me and theoretically "improve" my experience by targeting ads to me.
This is EXACTLY what I depend on NBC/MSNBC NOT to do, and help protect my privacy from the INSATIABLE "Private Sector".
I know that NBC has to generate a return from their viewership,...but personally, Id rather pay $1.50 or whatever / month to subscribe

Adding in the Today show segments puts some fun into news. Love the videos section. Breaking news notifications are great!

If I could, I would rate this higher than 5 stars. This app is excellent! Great content, great layout, and everything works like a charm. Videos are high quality and play perfectly. If you like notifications from your news apps, then this is the one for you. NBC News will keep you well informed and up to date on just about every major news event. I've tried every app in the store and I cannot say enough good about NBC News. Don't be fooled by the naysayers, this IS the best there is for news!

at first I thought I was going to have to clip on each individual Nightly News segment to watch the entire cast. But actually, it will automatically play through all of them and in fact, let's me skip over uninteresting stories. Great job.

You need more columnists regarding opinion. By and large they are weak and seem to want to finish their columns as fast as possible. I have acted as an Editor for Cambridge University Press and was bestowed Honors for my dissertation at Northwestern University.

Politics aside, I do enjoy the nightly news. I can't watch it, because I have no cable. I am able to watch the nightly news commercial free a day late though. The sections of the news are broken out into video clips, but they play as a "playlist" seamlessly. I'm digging it. Thanks, NBC!

For awhile I have been looking for an app that I can get both my nbc and msnbc fix in... this is it... I love ability to customized and add your favorite msnbc news show.... definitely worth the download.... Wish list would be the ability to watch msnbc live streaming if the price is right.
