My notes broke, they won't load anymore without freezing the app. Lost 8 pages of important notes. This is after I spent money on the additional tools and cloud backup. Very disappointed in this app. Use at your own risk.

Tried it for a bit, and looks great. Some features I would love to see (and even pay for) missing:
1)add continuous view for a note, meaning you can scroll down through all the pages.
2)when importing PDFs (and in general) add a feature to copy pieces of the document and paste it elsewhere in the note (something like a snipping tool).
3) the pen input is less smooth, meaning there are jagged edges to the pen input in comparison with other apps, like onenote or bamboo paper for example.
4)export locally (to device)? Can't find the option, which is weird since I believe it exists for android...
Otherwise, looks great. Will try using this for university classes. would love to see how this app grows

After lots of writing it was closed by windows and i just found that unlike android version it is not automating and there is no save button! You have to go out of the current note and come back!

This works really well on my Surface Pro 2.

The note taking interface itself is not bad, but there is no reasonable way to get your notes out of the program. You can pay for the "cloud sync" feature, which claims to save PDFs to dropbox. However, these PDFs are not created automatically. Furthermore, every time I tried to manually export PDFs it failed.

Actually this is my favorite note taking app on other platforms.
However my windows tablet has an atom processor which is not supported. So it does not run too well. I look forward to the upgrade.
19 March 2015
If it had OneDrive support I'd buy it.

I'm sorry to say that the app is unusable for me. I literally can't create any pages. The app crashes every time I click "New note." I'm on a Dell Inspiron 13 2-in-1. I'll give the app another try with a future update.

MUCH better for not taking than One Note in my opinion. I really like the ability to export to evermore and the screen lock feature. One thing that would be fantastic would be automatic evermore syncing.

I've been using Papyrus for years now. I've mostly used (and loved) this on Android. I liked that new premium features were being added all the time before, but then they seemed to slow down and stop? I've been waiting and hoping to see different brush/pen types. My writing isn't great in general but not as bad as Papyrus would have others believe ^^". Also so options for opacity would be wonderful! Those two things alone would I think open Papyrus up to artists especially looking for a digital art journal system. Being able to have different background templates would also be great- I would use this as my calendar as well. Anyway those small things aside I love using Papyrus and have recommended it to a lot of other people over the years. Please keep up the excellent work!

I absolutely love being able to snap Papyrus and my desktop, makes taking notes so much easier without shuffling windows around.

First impression is very positive

Does not offer everything it says it does. You need to purchase the extras and tools in the app for $2-5 each. Not worth it when there are already many great free apps out there.

I have had Papyrus on an Ipad, Samsung tablet and now on a Lenovo Thinkpad 10. It worked really well on the first two devices but it is a lot less straightforward on the Lenovo system. The current problem is that I cannot load any of the files that are on the machine. This will be a deal breaker if not resolved quickly, but I also do not have a path to talk to the service arm of Papyrus.
Can anyone else comment?

The only thing it's missing is the ability to print directly from the app, and the ability to save a pdf of the notes directly. I get around it by emailing a pdf to myself, and then printing it.

Pretty good note taking app. However, if you import PDFs that are marked up, the app does not import those markups. Instead, it just imports a clean version of the pdf without any markups.
25 November 2014
I have used a number of note taking apps and find pieces of each I like, but this one has everything I'm looking for in one!
24 November 2014
I've been looking for a good note-taking app for my Surface Pro 3 and I liked this better than most for a variety of reasons (quick access to all my tools, least bit of toolbar clutter, ability to import .pdfs without having to "Print to OneNote", etch). However, when I open my .pdfs now, they are completely blank. When I look at the overview of all of the pages (by clicking the slide number between the backward and forward arrows on the top-down menu, the PDF pages are not blank. The thumbnail view shows the page content but when I click on that page to view it full-screen, it is again empty. If I switch between "view" and "edit" modes from the bottom menu, I can sometimes get the page to display. If I go to the next page (which is blank) and then come back, it is blank again.
This is very frustrating and makes the app useless to me as all of my presentations are given by my instructors in .pdf form and I wanted to do PDF mark-up with this app. I would've happily paid for this app.

Great for taking notes and highlight pdfs
17 November 2014
Very useful especially if you own an active pen. You can even backup to dropbox or box.

Sometimes, when using the eraser button on SP3 pen, it doesn't erase, instead it keep inking.

This is great - good to have on the surface in addition to on my phone. The handwriting recognition is a nice touch.
