1. I wish there was a way to mark or save the recipes. 2. My preferred store does not show up in "Add preferred store" although it does show up on some of the products I found. About the best free shopping list I've found so far, but that's not saying a LOT, because the rest of them are total crap, so it doesn't take much to shine in this arena. This one is at least somewhat interactive, and someone took the time to edit the spelling.

like changing the quantity of items, and the range of stores was a bit far. The organization makes you wonder if the people designing it have ever actually been in a grocery store. Bakery and Baking goods are not the same. Could be great but as is it is just so-so.

Love the way this app works on my Windows 8.1 phone but theta won't sync and apparently I am too dense to figure out how to create a new shopping list on the PC version.

Best shopping app in the store for groceries.

I live in San Diego and Im finding tons and tons of food stuffs listed...but no cleaning products, which coincidentally is why I originally installed the app. I have tried many different Ca zips NorCal, Central Valley and Socal however I cant get the cleaning supplies aisle to pop up. Its the same for my windows phone too. Please tell me what I can do to add that aisle! Thanks!

It wont even start. It attempts (in vein) to load, then boots me back to my freaking start screen! Not exactly what I had hoped for. This was the most promising grocery app I could find, and it wont even load. Extremely disappointed!

I have been looking for an app that will allow me to do grocery lists by categories and the ability to get all the local grocery store ads to price match. This app does that! However, the ads are not specific enough for what I need. For example: it may say, Meijer has birds eye frozen veggies on sale but the size of the bag is not mentioned. Bummer for me as the store I do my price matching at states in their policy that u must purchase the same size bag and or qty. Hope to see improvements. 😊

This app is really well done. I am very excited that meal plans will be coming soon because that is the only thing missing! Love it! it will be 5stars when meal plan portion is done

Still haven't addressed issues. Windows app crashes, sometimes only syncs partial list with WP8 app. Also if it does show the entire list in WP8, sometimes as you scroll down the list, the list will freeze only showing you a part of the list. Issues needs to addressed on both windows and wp versions. Once those are fixed, the app will be great.

The app doesn't sync with Windows Phone app and I can't get my preferred stores on my Dell XPS 10, the app always crashes. If they add sync and get of rid of bugs this will be a good app

Great for what it does but needs a lot more polish in order to be a full shopping app. Would like to see more detail in the previews, i.e. what cut of meat is it? Would like to be able to turn off categories. would like the ability to select multiple items at one time to add the list.

Great app with lots of store variety/integration. Printable coupon part needs a little work though. Needs to be able to load more than 50 coupons. I love that the ui is very windows 8 inspired. Could also use the ability to view local flyers and both expand and contract categories.

I love the idea. But there are some (relatively simple) things that would make this tremendously more useful. First, items should be grouped: show a price range in the index, then breakdown by store in the details view. Second, show price per unit: if 10 for $10, summarize as $1 in index. I'd also like to see a LOT more products, but assume that's dependent on data availability. To make this a killer app: show the total cost and availability for a given shopping list across multiple stores.

Needs to fix the data entry problems and synch with the WP8 version before being considered a version 1 app. WP8 app is basic but pretty solid. Both need another good pass at the UI. Deeper metro integration (swipe for store/list), numeric drop downs for quantity (instead of text box), manage custom items, better item lookup for non scannable items, etc, etc. These need fixing in both but this Win8 app is prototype at best. Lots of potential to catch up to the WP8 app and do another rev of both

I like the fact it searches stores near your area but I wish I could divide them by the different stores so that when u go shopping you know what store has what on sale. im sure a few updates might fix this.

I liked everything but the inability to save item details like price so it carries over when making new lists

Been using this for a long time on my windows phone. Unfortunately, the features I love are not on this app. Quantities don't save, so price total is inaccurate. Can't manage asides, scan bar codes, enter units for price per weight items or add to favorites list. Finally, there is no way to check off items as I put it in my cart, so I don't have a cart total price vs. a list total price. Please put these is this app like they are for the phone app.

I have 3 suggestions. 1. Allow customer to tap on stores to get location and/or mappings. 2. Share shopping lists with others. My wife wants to know what I want for dinner. I select the recipe, add to shopping list, then I can send my list to hers so she can pick up dinner. 3. Other products. Costco sells more than food. Most of them do these days. I was looking for a good tobacco sale.

I love the Windows Phone version of this app but I feel like there is untapped potential on both of these apps. The phone version should be able to communicate with this windows 8 version. I like how you can create an account with this app but I wish you could do the same on the phone version so that all your lists would automatically sync. Also, I couldn't add preferred stores for some reason. Please add features and fix bugs and I'll give this 5 stars.

I love this app design and organization, just wish there were more items to choose from. Feels like limited number of product actually available then there really are in each of those stores.

Longtime user of Smart Shopping on Windows Phone 7 here, who's really glad it's making the jump to Win 8. Glad to see the Win 8 version is more Modern UI-compliant than the WP version, too. But to be really useful, SS needs to sync Favorites & Stores/Aisles between Win 8, web site, and Windows Phone. And Favorites DESPERATELY needs a search box to filter items. Until then, this app is a 3-star placeholder for the "real" SS.

The application is nice but it will only print half of the first page and blank on the second page.
