Like everyone else this is a poor design and has quit updating. The Android and Apple apps have been constantly improved and work quite well. The Surface is a great device and deserves to be supported.

This Win8 app is using a much flatter design than the latest iPad version. As a result, the browsing and navigation experience is much easier. It's a rare sighting that an app is performing better in win8 than ios!

Great app. Bravo!

East to navigate, easy to read via, feels intuitive...
28 September 2013
I love the WSJ and this app was a must for me. Easy to use and navigate, updates quickly and I can access my full content.
26 September 2013
Fantastic app, never crashes always uploading for the latest news.
10 August 2013
Different from the online version, but it works - clean usable interface.
2 June 2013
One of the best WSJ apps. Very nicely laid out and with all the good WSJ content. Wish they had something this nice for WinPhone 8.
20 February 2013
Greatly prefer this WSJ app on WindowsRT (Surface) over the version I used to use on ipad. Faster, cleaner, better integration overall.
13 January 2013
Well written with unbiased reporting. No wonder the liberal media outlets are loosing readership. With the WSJ and Fox you can't go wrong.
My advise to the readers of the 'main steam media" news sources is to drop them and get the WSJ.
10 January 2013
The app is perfect for my needs, though I should mention I have a WSJ subscription. Sliding from the bottom or right-clicking brings up the day's sections. If I wanted the website experience, I would go to the website. This is a nice alternative with a clean up look, and what I feel to be better organization. For WSJ Journal subscribers, the app is certainly worth a try.

App works great. As for the reviewer who said he couldn't access subscriber content, just sweep from wither the top or bottom and touch the login icon....duh. Also works to access navigation icons for different sections of the paper. Really enjoy using the app. Perhaps the other reviewer's confusion is caused by his type of subscription? You do have to have the dual (print + online) to have online access to the content.
20 December 2012
Nice clean design, good perf and solid.
11 December 2012
slight annoyance, what's with the . (dot) at the end of the app name? looks sloppy and unprofessional. its an app name not a sentence..
5 December 2012
I have installed WSJ on my Kindle Fire, Sumsung Galaxy tab 2 and on my Windows (8) desktop and by far I think the windows experience is the best. You get the entire scree, navigating the stories is a breeze, the images are big and crisp. One bug that I noticed on the Windows 8 app is that the videos don't seem to be playing.
4 December 2012
I would like to be able to save articles, like on the website.
24 November 2012
Really crisp, clean, & professional delivery of the WSJ.

2 November 2012
Still like the iPad app better. But am thrilled with this start. I am reverting to Windows for the complete eco system experience and am thrilled with Windows 8 and the existing fleet of apps, WSJ most specifically.
2 November 2012
But sometimes I can't find the article in the live tile...
31 October 2012
It does exactly what it should.. thanks!
30 October 2012
As always great content.

If you have a subscription to the WSJ then this app is a no brainer. I like the presentation of the articles. Very pleasing to the eye.
29 October 2012
I thought that with the negative (in my view, biased) comments on windows 8/surface tablet by nearly all WSJ journalists, they would not release a windows app at all or that early. Obviously the top guys or IT guys in WSJ think differently. BTW, I subscribe WSJ.COM and I am grateful to have this app. This is a customer's voice.
29 October 2012
This app is one of the first apps to arrive with Windows 8.
It doesn't require any subscription to be paid.
seems to be numbersagent.com

I. Love. This. App.
28 October 2012
I was happy to find the WSJ among the first apps available on Windows 8 and man is it good. I've been used to glitch filled apps provided by WSJ on my Android and my Kindle Fire. This app is much better than either of those, quick refresh with smooth swiping through articles makes this a joy to use on my laptop. I have an old touchscreen laptop (from 2009) but I find myself using the keyboard and mouse the most with this app. Great app for keyboard/mouse or touchscreen!

App no longer updates - what a waste.
